PEOPLE

Science and people that can unlock future potential -
that is the vision of LG Sciencepark.

Senior Researcher Kim Kyung-hwan
Institute of Production Technology / 3D Printing Task

Q. Where do you see yourself five years from now?

My dream is to be in the news for developing a product that creates tremendous value, something that all customers want. Rather than focusing on climbing the corporate ladder, my aspirations center around creating valuable products and making groundbreaking technologies that are available to all.

Q. What are the advantages of working at LG Sciencepark?

LG Sciencepark is the ideal environment for research synergy. The Department of 3D Printing Tasks frequently collaborates with other organizations so that we can really promote our technologies. In addition to LG's R&D center, Magok is home to a number of companies and research facilities, which means we have a lot of opportunities to discuss joint tasks and engage face-to-face with technical developers from all different fields. It's just a fantastic environment for collaboration.

Q. What was your impression of LG before you joined the organization? How has it changed?

For as long as I've known LG CNS as a company, I've always thought of it as a company that is dedicated to helping its employees continue to develop. After becoming a part of the team, this first impression stayed the same. Even with the difficulties of COVID-19, we still have access to all kinds of training opportunities and seminars representing a variety of interests. I find these things really helpful especially because my work is based on new technologies.

Q. Can you sum up LG Sciencepark in a single word or phrase?

It makes me think of the "Avengers" movie series. Each character in the series has such a defined personality, but at the end of the day, they all look out for each other and work as a team to produce synergy. That's what LG Sciencepark is like. All the LG subsidiaries, each with their own unique skill sets, are here creating synergy, making great things happen.

Q. What do you like about working at LG Sciencepark?

Overall, it's a great place to work. One good thing is that we've got great access to public transportation. And there's just so much space here. You can really stretch out in ways that you can't even imagine in most offices. And I love working with my colleagues on exciting new things, tests, and experiments. It goes without saying that the window of opportunity here—the opportunity to work with experts from all different departments—is always open.

Q. Can you sum up LG Sciencepark in a single word or phrase?

"A playground for engineers!" Opportunities for self-development and professional development are found everywhere in every task. And the facilities are top notch. It's just a place bursting with opportunities.
